Coordinate a cosmetic concept, ingredient specification and packaging format before manufacturing approval.

From concept to a defined cosmetic project

An ODM brief describes the intended cosmetic format, brand positioning, sensory preferences, ingredient requirements and markets. Our project team helps identify the decisions required before prototype and production planning. Feasibility is reviewed against the actual brief; catalogue inclusion is not a promise that every ingredient fits every format.

What to include in the development brief

  • The cosmetic format and intended commercial presentation.
  • Ingredients to include or avoid, named precisely.
  • Desired pack, net content and artwork direction.
  • The markets in which the cosmetic product will be offered.
  • The planned approval process and people responsible for each decision.

Document changes as the brief develops

Use a revision-controlled specification and sample reference. If an ingredient, container, supplier document or packaging component changes, review its implications before treating the earlier approval as valid for the new version.

Keep development and market requirements connected

Documentation, final product assessment, labeling and claims must be considered for the actual destination market. A development sample and a commercial product have different approval responsibilities. Agree who supplies and reviews each required document before scheduling production.
